Mia C. ★★★★★

The new resource tokens really change how you plan each turn, and building a Ballista right before the monsters hit the wall is so satisfying. We've played the base game for years and this expansion finally gives us a reason to hoard cards instead of dumping them.

David ★★★★★

Didn't expect the Engineer role to change the game this much — being able to build Catapults and Ballistas mid-battle feels genuinely strategic instead of just adding more monsters. Setup still takes a few minutes, but the resource tokens are easy to sort once you've played a round.

Adding resource tokens and the Engineer role changed how we plan turns — suddenly saving up for a ballista feels like a real strategy instead of just hoarding cards. We've played the base game dozens of times and this expansion made it feel new again.
